An Academic Designer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My deep experience of the academy includes a Ph.D. in English from the University of Hawai\u2018i at M\u0101noa\u2014where I wrote a dissertation on contemporary Indigenous Pacific Island literature across media\u2014and my work as Senior Professor of Practice in the English Department at Tulane University. I also have a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Simon Fraser University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of a desire to combine my interests in media, narrative, and technology with my skills in writing, coding, and critical thinking, I completed a digital design certificate with a focus on interactive user experience and user interfaces. My work has been recognized by the American Advertising Foundation with two Addy Awards in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bringing academic experience into design, my goal is to help fellow academics find authentic and visually appealing ways of representing themselves and their work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

  • help convey the value of your work to new audiences<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • support you in the difficult task of self-promotion<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • take on some of your “tech load”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • design and build you a site that is both beautiful and professional<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
